A calm caesarean birth

Just writing to let you know of the safe arrival of baby Olivia into the world on 19th November. She is 4 weeks today but my goodness does time fly. We can’t wait to come to the mum and bubs yoga classes next year and wanted to thank you for all of the support and preparation you assisted us with leading up to her birth.
While the delivery didn’t quite go as planned (the active birthing spontaneous vaginal delivery I had pictured in my mind) we did end up having the most perfect birth in the end. We ended up having an elective c-section and were 41+1 but it was so calm and enjoyable. My obstetrician, midwife, anesthetist, and pediatrician all supported our wishes for an active birth and worked together seamlessly. From a completely pain-free epidural, photos capturing the entire procedure/birth, delayed cord clamping, immediate skin to skin and a pain-free recovery post-c-section, it all went better than I could have ever imagined. I put a lot of it down to the physical and mental preparation that you supported us to develop.

Thank you again for everything you do!!

Alicia attended the Pregnancy yoga, Active Birth yoga and Active Birth workshop with her partner Liam.
